Super Easy Eggless Chocolate Cake

It was Mother’s Day in Sweden last Sunday. And I made this cake here for me, because I’m a mother too, obviously and both my daughter are still too tiny to make me anything edible (duh!) 😛

But I got a giant MOM mug and pills of love from them (well, they were from husband of course, but let’s take it as their presents) 😀

There was some funny moments when my eldest daughter gave the presents to me though. She came running to the kitchen when I was doing some stuffs and then she said, “Bunda –(it’s Indonesian for mother, and what my daughters call me)–, Pappa got you a surprise!”

Then hubby was like, “No, it’s a present from you and Eira –(my baby daughter)– not from Pappa”, he said.

And then Alyzza looked confuse and said, “Oh yeah, from me” with a big grin on her cheeky face.

Pretending to look a bit surprise I asked her where did she get the money to buy me presents because I haven’t given her pocket money for a few weeks now 😛

She said, “Pappa used his card.” With another big cheeky grin.

To be honest it was kind of obvious that my husband got me something for mother’s day because he was late after work on Friday and asked me some questions about the stuffs I showed him couple of days before. LOL. (Sorry bunny, I still liked the presents though, and you’re the best)

Back to the cake now 😀

My youngest daughter is egg intolerance. She can’t eat a whole egg (poached, boiled, omelette) or anything that contains too much egg in it. But if its only a little bit mixed in with other ingredients then it’s fine. But again, not too much.

I was a bit frustrated when I found out about that from her doctor. Since in our family, we never have any allergy towards any kind of food. And I like to bake. And most baked goods use eggs in it. So I was really happy when I found out about this cake. Saw it from my friend’s facebook and I tried it out and immediately fall in love with this recipe. Super easy and the result is moist and fluffy. Perfect in my opinion.

~I know this cake lack lots of things. Far from pretty. If you have sharp eyes, you can tell the whipped cream is over whipped T_T  and the chocolate sauce was a bit too warm when I poured it on the cake. Hoping to make this style of cake a lot better next time.~

Until next time…
