Korean Fried Chicken

This is one of the menu I served for my friends last weekend on my birthday celebration (minus the sauce). Actually its not 100% Korean chicken, because for the fried chicken I used my mum’s secret recipe. But for the sauce I got it from Maangchi. I’m a big fan of her too. For Korean food she’s the one. I told you before that my hubby and I like Korean food so much, mostly because they’re spicy but in a different way from spicy Indonesian food. I don’t care, as long as it’s spicy :p

Apart from that famous fried chicken (you know what I mean, the old guy with white beard icon :p) I like my mum’s fried chicken the most. There’s something in it. I couldn’t stop munching those chickens if my mum made them. And I’m going to share the secret with you soon.


1 kilo chicken

3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 egg


How to:

– Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients. I left it in the fridge over night.

As for the rest of the method you can head over to Maangchi’s video, the rest is the same.

If you don’t like with sauce or spicy, you can enjoy the chicken just like this. But I still recommend the sauce ^^
